True wanted an eye-catching 3D film that showcased their customisable refridgeration units. They wanted to show that they could cater to their client's needs by having the cabinet in a wide variety of colours allowing you to create unique and personalised cabinets that matched your business and brand.
True really liked Apple's iMac's 'Better In Colour' advert as it was quick, clean, straight to the point and showed off the product in a fantastic light. They wanted something similar to the Apple ad but with their messaging for an up-incoming event.
I've dabbled a bit in 3D animation, however, this would be my first time making a fully 3D animation film from start to end. This was for their up-incoming event and needed to be completed in one month, which was a tight deadline. To minimise amends and execute what True wanted, we created a storyboard with exported still frames from Cinema 4D then created a wireframe animatic to show True how the units animated. Once they signed off the storyboard and animatic, I then progressed with changing the renderer to Redshift and started texturing and re-lit some scenes to execute the quality that True wanted.
We met True's deadline and exceeded their expectations, leading them to use the 3D film in other events such as Host Milan, Internorga Hamburg, Gulfhost Hospitality and Foodservice Expo in Dubai.
All artwork was created in Cinema 4D, rendered with Redshift, composited in After Effects, edited and colour graded in Premiere Pro.
